MULTICULTRAL AUTISM ACTION NETWORK

The Multicultural Autism Action Network (MAAN)  is a non-profit organization founded by parents of autistic children to provide support, resources and education for other parents facing the same challenges and for support workers.  Their mission: To transform and empower multicultural communities by providing effective support and education for autistic individuals and their families.

BradleyGale Media Group was engaged to create a website for the organization in order to showcase the work that they are doing and to increase awareness of the organization in the Minnesota area.

The Challenge

The major challenge for the organization was that, despite the work that the four parent founders were doing in Minnesota and the success that they were accomplishing, they were virtually unknown and were not turning up in Google searches.  With a limited budget, a full-scale SEO Optimization campaign was not possible.  But the need still existed - to make Minnesota-based parents of autistic children in multicultural communites aware of the resources that they had available to them and the support the organization can provide.

What We Did

We designed and published a website, focusing on engagement and emotional connection.  We shared the founding parents stories and highlighted the programs they ran and created an easy way for visiting parents to connect.  Once the website was completed, we initiated a Public Relations campaign directed at 500+ journalists in the surrounding area, to showcase the website and create a story-worthy event that could be carried by the media and be seen by prospective supporters and parents in need of assistance.

What We Achieved

The PR campaign did better than expected and generated multiple enquiries to the team as well as offers of support, volunteers and parents requesting assistance.
